Word 2007 Need "print hidden text" option enabled for any computer with Word 2007 opening a document.

We have hidden text in a document that we want to be enabled to print out with that document. - That's easy.

We don't want to have to go around to every computer in the company and enable "print hidden text" to do this.

There must be a way to embed this in the document itself or else a Group Policy we can apply that would affect all company PCs.

Hi

Based on my research, we can change the settings by using Office Customize Tool(OCT). Follow these steps:

Start>Run>cmd>type full path of Office 2007 setup.exe /admin. Then OCT opens.

 Find Features>Modify user settings>Microsoft Office Word 2007>Word option>Display.

Change the settings for print hidden text as enabled. Refer to the screenshot shown in my PC:

Click save. We will get a File_name.msp file. Copy it to the same path of your installation package and run it. You will get your settings changed.

For another computer, just copy the xx.msp file to the same path and run it .

Is there any way for that to be part of the document so if say we send it to an outside vendor they are affected by that?

Hi

As the 'Print hidden text' setting is kept in local PC, I am afraid we cannot place it as part of document.

If you need more help, please feel free to contact us.
